A few days after our relationship with Dental Sleep Co. began, BioCasper arrived in thousands of Casper-area mailboxes with a simple message: Sleep Matters!

However, for many people recognizing the possibility of Sleep Apnea is only the beginning. The path from concern to diagnosis and, ultimately, effective therapy can be delayed by a healthcare process that is often more complicated than it needs to be. That is where our relationship with Dental Sleep Co. is designed to help.

Our goal is simple: educate, coordinate, and simplify the path to patient care.

  1. Education & Guidance
We intend on helping patients better understand Sleep Apnea, the potential consequences of untreated nighttime breathing disorders, and the steps involved in determining whether further evaluation is appropriate.
  2. Home Sleep Testing
When indicated, we can coordinate an at-home Sleep Test, which provides a convenient way to obtain the diagnostic information needed to determine your appropriate next step.
  3. Insurance Navigation
When a diagnosis and clinical circumstances support treatment, Dental Sleep Co. can help simplify the medical-insurance process—from eligibility verification and prior authorization to claim submission. When necessary, the process can also include insurance appeals and reconciliation.

The objective isn't to make every patient a candidate for an oral appliance, but rather to help each patient get the proper evaluation and, if treatment is indicated, make the path to appropriate therapy easier to navigate.

With Dr. John L. Bouzis - RestfulSleep partnering with Dental Sleep Co. to bring a simplified but comprehensive and caring approach to Sleep Apnea to our community, the timing of the BioCasper publication could not have been better, as it arrived just a few days prior to having fully implemented the process we have together been developing.

So, consider this the next step in your journey that began with BioCasper since you most likely scanned the QR code to reach this opportunity webpage. We invite you to continue learning, explore whether further evaluation may be appropriate for you, and take the next step toward Better Sleep and a Healthier You - now that this process is ready to go for our community of patients.

RestfulSleep means a Pathway to Better Sleep and a Healthier Version of You.

Sleep apnea often develops both gradually and quietly, affecting sleep, energy, concentration, mood, and overall quality of life long before a person seeks care. More importantly, undiagnosed and/or untreated Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) are both associated with significant health risks, including high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, atrial fibrillation, stroke, metabolic problems, and other serious consequences. Rather than simply asking, “What’s Wrong?” perhaps one should ask, “How is this affecting my life—and what could change if I choose to do something about it?” If you snore, awaken unrefreshed, expierence daytime fatigue, or have been told you stop breathing during sleep, it may be time to ask what's taking place while you're sleeping and what options are available.

Through a RestfulSleep and Dental Sleep Co. partnership the industry standard responsibilities of an in-office sleep coordinator, have been adjusted for a dental Sleep Medicine Practice, to use AI alongside a centralized human support model that can extend those same capabilities to a rural communitie without a local board-certified sleep physician. The distinction is especially important in Casper because the challenge is not just recognizing possible sleep apnea, but rather coordinating the medical evaluation, the diagnostic testing, prescription and documentation requirements, dental treatment, insurance process, and follow-up care needed to deliver effective therapy. Below is a description with patient-facing language describing the community benefits and what it brings to patients.

What Does A Sleep Coordinator Do?

  • 1. Help Recognize the Need for an Evaluation

Your journey may begin with symptoms such as: loud or persistent snoring, pauses in breathing, gasping, or choking during sleep, daytime sleepiness, fatigue, or difficulty concentrating or waking up feeling unrefreshed. Also, there maybe concerns raised by a bed partner about your breathing during sleep.

Your coordinator can help you complete relevant questionnaires, understand common warning signs, and identify when further evaluation may be appropriate to rule out sleep apnea.

  • 2. Coordinate Medical Evaluation & Testing

When further evaluation is indicated, your coordinator can help organize the process with the appropriate medical clinician and testing service. Depending on one's circumstances, this may involve communicating with your primary care provider or another qualified medical clinician to organize the medical order and records required for testing and coordinate a home sleep apnea test or laboratory-based sleep study when appropriate.

Tracking appointments, outstanding paperwork, and test completion followed by ensuring that the results reach the clinician responsible for interpreting them and determining the next step. This coordination helps prevent patients from becoming lost between referrals, testing, and follow-up.

  • 3. Explain in Understandable Terms All Treatment Options

Sleep apnea treatment should be based on your individual diagnosis, health circumstances, and treatment needs.

Options may include positive airway pressure therapy, such as CPAP; a custom oral appliance; positional therapy; weight management when appropriate; selected surgical treatments; or a combination of therapies.

A qualified medical clinician determines the medical diagnosis and treatment plan while your sleep coordinator can help explain the general purpose, practical considerations, and next steps associated with your options.

  • 4.Coordinate Care

For patients who may benefit from oral appliance therapy, the coordinator helps connect the medical and dental portions of care. This may include organizing relevant medical records and prescriptions, coordinating communication between medical and dental providers, scheduling dental evaluations and treatment visits and helping you understand appliance delivery, adjustment, comfort, and maintenance.

An oral appliance may be an effective option for appropriately selected patients, but it is not right for everyone. So since treatment effectiveness must be assessed rather than assumed, careful tracking and clinical requirements are an essential part of quality care.

  • 5. Help With Navigating Insurance & Paperwork

Insurance requirements can become a major obstacle to care.

Depending on your insurance plan and the services available through your care team, coordination may include:

    Checking eligibility and benefits.

    Identifying documentation and prescription requirements.

    Tracking prior authorization requests.

    Organizing records for claim submission.

Following up on claim status and missing information.

Helping coordinate responses to denials or appeals.

Coverage and payment are not guaranteed. The purpose of this support is to make requirements clearer, reduce avoidable administrative delays, and help you understand what remains to be completed.

  • 6. Keep Your Care Moving Forward

Receiving treatment is never the final step since follow-up is essential.

Your sleep coordinator can help track visits, identify unanswered questions, collect your reported concerns, and connect you with the appropriate clinician when problems arise.

For oral appliance therapy, follow-up may include assessing comfort, dental changes, jaw symptoms, adherence, and the need for objective reassessment of sleep apnea since the goal is not simply to provide a device. It is to help ensure that the treatment is appropriate and that its effectiveness is evaluated.

How Artificial Intelligence Can Help

AI is creating new opportunities daily to make coordinated sleep care more practical, especially for rural communities. When used within a secure system and with appropriate human oversight, AI can help:

Organize information. Summarize questionnaires and relevant records for review by the appropriate clinician.

Identify missing steps. Flag outstanding orders, incomplete documentation, unreturned referrals, or overdue follow-up tasks.

Improve communication. Prepare clear appointment instructions, educational materials, and draft summaries for review.

Keep track of progress. Help maintain an organized record of where you are in the care process and what needs to happen next.

Make information easier to understand. Explain common sleep-related terminology and treatment concepts in plain language.

Reduce repetitive administrative work. Help staff spend less time organizing routine paperwork and more time supporting patients.

AI does not independently establish your diagnosis, issue prescriptions, or replace the clinical judgment of your healthcare professionals. Its role is to support the people responsible for your care.

Our Commitment at RestfulSleep

Our Commitment at RestfulSleep

We believe access to appropriate sleep apnea care should not depend solely on whether you live near a major medical center. Our goal is to help you move through the process with greater clarity and less frustration—from recognizing a possible problem to obtaining an appropriate evaluation, exploring treatment options, and following through with care.

Through coordination, education, and carefully applied technology, we want to help close the gaps that too often leave patients uncertain about what to do next.
